Comparison of MultiMap and TSP/CONCORDE for constructing radiation hybrid maps

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on radiation hybrid maps. The authors have demonstrated that the construction of such maps can help the investigators to locate type I and typr II genetic markers on genomes maps, and have compared the merits of MultiMap and TSP/CONCORDE packages using the inforation data analyzed for the construcion of the canine radiation hybrid map.

Genetic structure of susceptibility traits for hip dysplasia and microsatellite informativeness of an outcrossed canine pedigree

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on hip dysplasia quantitative trait locus maping. The authors describe the development of the outcrossed canine pedigree for this mapping carried out via the breeding of dysplastic Labrador retrievers to trait-free greyhounds.

Establishing appropriate genome-wide significance levels for canine linkage analyses

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on genome-wide maximum logarithm of the odds favoring linkage score (MAXLOD). The authors discuss the analytic and empirical thresholds for MAXLOD in canine linkage studies.
