Direct evidence that ventral forebrain cells migrate to the cortex and contribute to the generation of cortical myelinating oligodendrocytes

Article Abstract:

Using a study on mouse embryos, the fact that some of the total myelinating oligodendrocytes found in the cortex originate from ventral forebrain, is analyzed.

Olig2-positive progenitors in the embryonic spinal cord give rise not only to motoneurons and oligodendrocytes, but also to a subset of astrocytes and ependymal cells

Article Abstract:

Origin of motoneurons and oligodendrocytes from Olig2 positive progenitors is discussed. Other astrocytes that are originating from pMN domain are presented.
