Effect of husbands' education on fatness of wives

Article Abstract:

The aim was to examine the relationship between social position of females achieved by marriage and their level of fatness in healthy, occupationally active, married women, between the ages 21-62 years, with 12 years of education. It was found that women with secondary school education who married up were slimmer than women who married down.

Metabolic syndrome among Moroccan Sahraoui adult women

Article Abstract:

Factors related to metabolic syndrome are investigated in a sample of 249 Moroccan Sahraoui women, above 15 years of age. The results of the study suggest that prevention of obesity central obesity in particular, could be the most direct factor to prevent the syndrome and its complications.

Reduced rate of fat oxidation: a metabolic pathway to obesity in the developing nations

Article Abstract:

This experiment deals with the metabolic and environmental factors that cause obesity in the developing nations. The result shows that under nutrition during adolescent increases the risk of obesity during adulthood, which is the major cause of diabetes
