Genetic analysis of resistance to soybean mosaic virus in J05 soybean

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to determine the reaction of soybean cultivar J05 to all the strains of soybean mosaic virus (SMV), the inheritance of SMV resistance, and the allelic relationship of resistance genes. Results indicated that soybean cultivar J05 carried two dominant genes for SMV resistance, and a combination of both genes provided resistance to all SMV strains.

QTL analysis of low temperature-induced browning in soybean seed coats

Article Abstract:

Study was carried out to investigate the inheritance of low temperature-induced seed coat browning using DNA markers. Results revealed that an appropriate combination of maturity loci improved chilling tolerance in terms of yield as well as quality of soybean seeds under low-temperature conditions.

Genetic Divergence between North American Ancestral Soybean Lines and Introductions with Resistance to Soybean Cyst Nematode Revealed by Chloroplast Haplotype

Article Abstract:

Domesticated soybean was found to share a single chloroplast haplotype with other soybean plants introduced as a potential source of genetic variation. Implications for future testing of soybean genotypes are discussed.
