Mrc1 is a replication fork component whose phosphorylation in response to DNA replication stress activates Rad53

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on DNA replication. The authors suggest that in response to this interference the mediator protein kinase is recruited to replication block sites to phosphorylate DNA replication complex component and to set up a solid-state Rad53 activation platform for checkpoint response initiation.

Genomic instability and endoreduplication triggered by RAD17 deletion

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on Rad17 which is required for DNA damage and replication stress response. The role of RAD17 in genomic stability maintenance has been investigated, and the results demonstrate that it is important both for Atr-mediated checkpoint and for cell viability.

Chromosome integrity in Sacchromyces cerevisiae: the interplay of DNA replication initiation factors, elongation factors, and origins

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on chromosome integrity determinants. The authors describe the use of yeast artificial chromosomes in developing an assay in budding yeast for these determinants.
