Albusin B, a bacteriocin from the ruminal bacterium ruminococcus albus 7 that inhibits growth of ruminococcus flavefaciens

Article Abstract:

Traditional cloning and gene-walking PCR techniques reveal an opera reading frame (albB) encoding a protein with a predicted molecular mass of 32,168 Da. A blast search reveals two homologs of AlbB from the unfinished genome of R. albus 8 and moderate similarity to LlpA, a 30-kDa bacteriocin from pseudomonas sp. strain BW11M1.

Multivariate analyses of Burkholderia species in soil: Effect of crop and land use history

Article Abstract:

The evaluation of expansion of Burkholderia species in the agricultural sector is significant taking into account the prospective use of this genus for agronomic and environmental uses. The effect of plant species is minimal on the Burlkholderia community formation as compared to that on the land use history.
