Oligomeric tubulin in large transporting complex is transported via kinesin in squid giant axons

Article Abstract:

Oligomeric tubulin in large transporting complex has been found to be transported via kinesin in squid giant axons. The movement of fluorescence was monitored with confocal laser scanning microscopy and fluorescence correlation spectroscopy after injection of the axons with fluorescence-labeled tubulin

Nucleophosmin/B23 is a target of CDK2/cyclin E in centrosome duplication

Article Abstract:

Nucleophosmin/B23 (NPM/B23) has been identified as a substrate of CDK2/cyclin E in duplication of centrosomes, which is coordinated with that of DNA. NPM/B23 associates specifically with unduplicated centrosomes and NPM/B23 dissociates from centrosomes by CDK2/cyclin E-mediated phosphorylation.

The 4-angstrom X-ray structure of a tubulin-stathmin-like domain complex

Article Abstract:

Phosphoproteins of the stathmin family have been studied. The 4-angstrom X-ray structure of a GDP-tubulin with the Escherichia coli-expressed stathmin-like domain of RB3, a stathmin family protein, has been described. The RB3 extensively contacts tubulin through a 91-residue alpha helix.
