Article Abstract:

The correlations between genetic variation, the languages and geographic spread of tribes and low status castes in India are explored. The definition and comparison of the patterns of the genetic variation in South Asia has provided insights into the human evolutionary history, the necessary population-genetic background that are important prerequisite for understanding the genetics of complex traits.

The structure, evolution and function of the nucleophosmin/nucleoplasmin (NPM) family, including their role as chaperones are described. The nucleoplasmin is found to be an essential component of the amphibian chromatin remodeling machinery during fertilization and early embryonic development.
