TIMP-2 mediated inhibition of angiogenesis: an MMP-independent mechanism

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases (TIMPs) which suppress the activity of matrix metalloproteinases. The authors report the establishment of the matrix metalloproteinase-independent mechanism for TIMP-2 inhibition of endothelial cell proliferation in vitro.

Ubiquitinating a phosphorylated Cdk inhibitor on the blades of the Cdc4 beta-propeller

Article Abstract:

The author discusses substrate binding by ubiquitin ligase which is regulated by phosphorylation. The topics of interest include the crystal structure of Cdc4 subunit bound to high-affinity substrate phosphopeptide.

The ubiquitin ligase activity in the DDB2 and CSA complexes is differentially regulated by COP9 signalosome in response to DNA damage

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on nucleoside excision repair. The authors demonstrate that UV response of the DDB2 and CSA complexes affect nucleoside excision repair mechanism.
