"Tell me where is calcium bred": clarifying the roles of nuclear calcium

Article Abstract:

Ca2+ signal are generated by transport through the nuceloplasmic space and work as the pool for nuclear Ca2+, regulates specific Ca2+-dependent nuclear processes. Several factors contribute to the discrepancies associated with the cell-specific nature of nuclear-cytoplasmic Ca2+ exchanges, which include the stage of cell development, nuclear and cytosolic fluorescence. Moreover, results of several studies have presented evidence that gene expressions can also be determined by nuclear Ca2+.

PIP2 and PIP3: complex roles at the cell surface

Article Abstract:

Phosphatidylinositol (4,5)-bisphosphate (PIP2) and phosphatidylinositol (3,4,5)-trisphosphate (PIP3) are membrane phospholipids that perform a variety of functions. PIP2 is a signaling molecule that is stimulated by hormones. PIP3 affects the downstream targets of the phosphoinositide 3 kinase pathway.

Essential roles of S-nitrosothiols in vascular homeostasis and endotoxic shock

Article Abstract:

The S-nitrosothiols (SNO's) regulate innate immune and vascular homeostasis function and are cleared actively to ameliorate nitrosative stress. SNO plays an important role in endotoxic shock as well.
