The deacetylase HDAC6 regulates aggresome formation and cell viability in response to misfolded protein stress

Article Abstract:

Research shows that misfolded protein-induced stress is managed by the microtubule-associated deacetylase, HDAC6, which is a component of the aggresome. The HDAC6 binds both polyubiquinitated misfolded proteins and dynein motors and recruit misfolded proteins to dynein motors for transport to aggresomes.

Interleukin 20: discovery, receptor identification, and role in epidermal function

Article Abstract:

Bioinformatics analysis reveals the discovery of a novel interleukin 10 homolog, interleukin 20. The new cytokine causes neonatal lethality and aberrant epidermal differentiation. Recombinant interleukin 20 mediates signal transduction in keratocyte cells.

ICEBERG: a novel inhibitor of interleukin-2beta generation

Article Abstract:

ICEBERG, a member of the death-domain-fold superfamily, has been found to be a novel inhibitor of interleukin-2beta generation. It may be part of a negative feedback loop, being induced by proinflammatory stimulae.
