Wnt pathway activation: New relations and locations

Article Abstract:

Researches in Wingless (Wnt) signaling field reveal new components, such as a G protein and an atypical receptor tyrosine kinase, and novel connections between known components. Different sub cellular localization of receptors might contribute to explain distinctions between canonical and noncanonical Wnt pathway activity.

The complex cartography of stem cell commitment

Article Abstract:

A study conducted provides an insight into the early lineage commitment events of multipotent hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). These studies show the importance of the Flt3 receptor tyrosine kinase as the earliest marker of hematopoietic cell fate commitment in the erythrocytes.
