The tax breaks for negative gearing has encouraged over investment in property, raising home prices and putting jobs and the economy at risk. The suspension of tax deductions for all new negatively geared passive investments in property, shares and collectibles for 12 months proves to be the best solution to overcome the economic crisis in Australia.

The revenue losses caused by the negative gearing are exaggerated by the critics and the negative gearing that eventually turned positive was overlook by them. The investments that started off being negatively geared became positively geared due to the rents rise or the loan balances reduce.
