A model of corporate innovation management: some recent high tech innovations in Japan

Article Abstract:

Significant aspects in the innovation process are identified using the different models of Japanese corporate innovation management and an integrated model is described. The innovation process in Japanese corporations is shown to be highly interactive and also requires comprehensive organizational intelligence, immediate organizational learning and technology diffusion, horizontal information flow systems, integration of varied technologies to acquire innovations quickly, concurrent engineering and application of core competence for new business development.
