A multi-echelon inventory model for a repairable item with one-for one replenishment

Article Abstract:

A model developed to determine steady state inventory maintenance requirements for a multi-echelon inventory system for a repairable item is based on the assumption that item failures can be explained by the Poisson process and that shipment time is deterministic. The multi-echelon system is comprised of a central depot serving several operating sites, where repairs are made. Inventory is supplied on a one-for-one, as needed basis.

Continuous - review policies for a multi-echelon inventory problem with stochastic demand

Article Abstract:

A model, designed to find a continuous-review inventory control policy that optimally reduces average costs, is applied to a multi-stage serial inventory system. Costs focused on include: fixed ordering costs, echelon holding costs and back ordering costs.
