A new dawn over Yanchep

Article Abstract:

Alan Bond's plans to create Yanchep Sun City, his first property development idea in Australia, have been revived by the Japanese firm Tokyu Corp. Tokyu has spent 20 years reworking Bond's plans, and the beachside property is about ready to be sold. Bond, who is in prison for corporate theft, acquired the Yanchep property in 1968, but he brought the land to market too early and overestimated population growth. Tokyu plans to create a mixed development that will eventually house 150,000 people.
