A social learning theory of cross-functional case education

Article Abstract:

The social learning theory (SLT) is appropriate as a theoretical foundation to facilitate learning and teaching with cross-functional cases as it explains human behavior in terms of continuous reciprocal interaction between cognitive, behavioral, and environmental influences. It is observed that establishing high expectations and enthusiasm about course material and student preparation and participation is most important and also the professors must be aware of each student's cognitive influence and have a course and class session plan to shape the discussion environment.
