A solution for success

Article Abstract:

Australia based Plantic Technologies developed a biodegradable plastic in 2002. There was considerable excitement about the discovery, and investors pumped in $11 million. However, the company did not live up to the projections of its first chief executive, David MacInnes. MacInnes resigned after dismal performance. Grant Dow, the new chief executive has new solutions for reviving the company.

Jackgreen, a renewable energy supplier in Sydney sells green energy-wind, solar and hydro-electric power for the same price of its coal-sourced energy and winning customers. Within three years Jackgreen has signed 10000 households to supply green energy. Jackgreen's operations are simple in that it has one billing system and infrastructure is kept small.
