An Rx for drug abuse

Article Abstract:

Small businesses may be particularly vulnerable to problems of drug abuse among their employees because drug abusers will seek work at smaller firms where the likelihood of drug testing is slim. Small businesses would do well to set up a drug-prevention program. This should include a written substance-abuse policy, the training of managers to find out who are abusers and what to do about them, an employee assistance program, an education and awareness program, and setting-up drug-testing procedures.
