The corporate finance division of KPMG's Adelaide office is a new group consisting of three experienced wine professionals, they are interested in transaction-oriented investment banking advice rather than tax or audit. The amazing fact is that these individuals are not having an accounting degree among them and believes to add value to their business, by enabling KPMG office to pitch for consulting job with the federal government.

The collapse of Henry Kaye's investment companies where Kaye himself is likely to emerge with millions of dollars whereas creditors may end up with nothing highlights the deficiencies in the regulations concerning company failures. Insolvency laws are being looked at by the joint parliamentary inquiry on corporations and financial services, as government regulators want the rules tightened.
