An interactive framework for multi-person, multiobjective decisions

Article Abstract:

An iterative and interactive technique for the solution of the multiobjective, multiple decision maker problem is presented. The proposed technique uses two multiple objective linear programming solution approaches which can be used independently or in concert. These two optimization procedures are used in conjunction with a preference ranking tool and a consensus ranking heuristic. Lastly, the technique is found to give efficient solutions to a series of test problems.

Sensitivity analysis revisted and extended

Article Abstract:

An analysis describing sensitivity analysis is presented. It is shown that the tolerance approach for such a linear programming analysis can generate a basis for examining simultaneous and independent changes of its coefficients and terms. Such an approach allows the development of a region of variability. In addition, an extension of this region yields sensitivity analysis as a special case of the tolerance method.

Necessary and sufficient conditions of unacceptable solutions in LP discriminant analysis

Article Abstract:

Discriminant models using linear programming (LP) have not been shown to be very satisfactory. Research has been done to help users avoid unacceptable solutions using a previous research model and extending it. To overcome the problem LP users need to avoid multiple solutions, or recognise them and develop ways of circumvention.
