Are IT workers cowed or content?

Article Abstract:

American information technology (IT) company Electronic Data Systems Corp.'s (EDS) negotiation of a non-union agreement with 2500 IT workers illustrated for unions how easy it is for companies to contract out services. The agreement, which attracted the bulk of Commonwealth Bank's (CBA) employees in Australia, weakened the Finance Sector Union's (FSU) strength in CBA. FSU claimed that the EDS-CBA agreement left a cowed workforce, where the rights of those who chose not to leave were diminished.
