A new policy of surprise audits is planned by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) as part of its more stringent approach to regulation, in the wake of doubts over its role in the Pan Pharmaceuticals debacle last year in Australia. Investigations into Pan founder Jim Selim are continuing by the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) and by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).
