Board composition from adolescence to maturity: a multitheoretic view

Article Abstract:

The authors put forth a theory that board composition and firm performance reflect the firm's life cycle and relative power of the CEO and related factors. This theory is described as being applicable to agency, resource dependence, institutional, and social network theories.
