Building a winner from scratch

Article Abstract:

Six entrepreneurs and how they made their start-up companies into major franchisers are presented. The franchisers are Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin Robbins, Kwik Kopy Printing and six other businesses, real estate firm RE/MAX Intl, Wendy's Intl, car painters Maaco Enterprises, and commercial cleaners Jani-King Intl.

New strategies for growth

Article Abstract:

New innovations in franchising include two companies sharing the same site, such as Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins USA Co. This is known as dual branding or brand bundling. Several franchises that have used new techniques to boost sales are profiled.
