Australian manufacturing companies need to determine their international competitiveness while continuing as a domestic market participant. They have to reassess their management positions on outsourcing and manufacturing processes. Many companies lack management and board members with international experience. Plunging tariffs and capabilities to integrate operations around the world with information technology are reasons the manufacturing market has been suffering.

Repco revs up
