Article Abstract:

The diversified chemical industry is not timely in the 4th qtr of 1999 due to low earnings and stock price momentum, even with economic recovery in Asia and a good US economy. Acquisitions, divestments, and other strategies are being used by companies to focus on their strengths, but the outlook is not good for the fertilizer segment. These stocks are not timely for 1999 and the year 2000, but several have good dividend yields and appreciation potential for the next three to five years.

A comparative analysis of the company sales and financial details of Sunrise Senior Living, Inc. from 1995 to 2003 are illustrated. Projections of the annual total returns, revenues and the assets position of the company for the period 2007-09 are made using value line estimates.
