Compensation policy and organizational performance: The efficiency, operational, and financial implications of pay levels and pay structure

Article Abstract:

A study examined the relation between companyEs pay structures and pay levels with the resource efficiency, patient care outcomes, and financial performance. Even though the results indicated that pay level practices and pay structures interact to affect resource efficiency, patient care outcomes, and financial performances, it is also suggested that no single theory can fully explain how compensation relates to organizational performance.

Organizational restructuring and middle manager sensemaking

Article Abstract:

A study to examine "sensemaking" during an imposed shift from hierarchical to decentralized organization is given. Results reveal that different change processes lead to different patterns of schema development and highlight the socially negotiated nature of schema change and the significance of middle managers lateral social interactions in shaping change in the absence of senior management.

Research study report information regarding organizational actions and model research are given and discussed. The model research tested threats and opportunities which lead to different organizational actions and compared this model to other models which which organizational characteristics moderate actions taken regarding threats and opportunities.
