The Flexible Charm of the Management Buy-Out

Article Abstract:

The number and size of mangement buyouts has increased sharply in Britain since 1979. These buyouts seem to be meeting or exceeding their trading targets. The boards of these new buy-out companies are making quicker and more consistent decisions than was previously possible. Management has usually improved the standards of performance for themselves and their employees. Buy-outs have been popular in almost all industries. Financing for buy-outs appears to be readily available. The only factor preventing more buy-outs appears to be in the reluctance of businesses to sell.
