Conceptualizing and exploring the organizational effects of ISO 9000: insights from the Oresund bridge project

Article Abstract:

ISO 9000 is a standard that was often associated with quality but at the same time there was a growing body of literature criticizing ISO' 9000 for its inability to deliver improved quality, the report was prepared to develop a framework for understanding the organizations effects of ISO 9000. The studies suggested that the effective usage of the ISO 9000 standard depends on understanding the effects and managing in such a way that the intended benefits of ISO 9000 were delivered.

An availability study for a SME

A case study of an availability analysis for a small commercial company is presented. A commentary on the background to reliability/availability specification is provided and a number of recommendations for monitoring reliability and availability are given.
