Continental Airlines' CEO Gordon Bethune on teams and new product development

Article Abstract:

Continental Airlines CEO and Chmn Gordon Bethune presented his views on his airline's team management and new product development strategies. Bethune compared the management of an airline to the operation of a wristwatch. There are many parts but its entirety becomes important only when the parts work together. Continental's product development is based on adjusting their services to fit the needs of their regional customers. Bethune also discussed the effectiveness of their on-time bonus and other incentives programs.

The largest employees' union in Israel is the Histadrut Labor Federation, the labor union of Arkia Israel Airlines, established in 1949 by El Al, Israel's national airline. This is an interview with the airlines CEO, Israel Borovich.
