Creating the right decision support system

Article Abstract:

Accountants who use computers should look to Decision Support Systems (DSS) as the mode of automation which will be interactive, and DSS software packages will run on affordable micros. DSS will allow the user to determine what data should be accessed from the system, and how it should be displayed and examined. Expanding your hardware horizons

Article Abstract:

The accountant with a microcomputer must be ready to pursue increased computer use. The motherboard includes memory chips, but additional memory capacity can be built. An expansion card can be used to enlarge the memory capacity of a microcomputer. A hard disk can be used instead of a floppy disk in order to enable the user to have a much greater amount of stored data on-line than floppy disks can carry.
