Determinants of a relational exchange orientation in the marketing-manufacturing interface: an empirical investigation

Article Abstract:

This article examines marketing and manufacturing departments utilizing intra-organizational exchange relationships. The authors apply a relational exchange instrument, which consists of trust, bonding, empathy, and reciprocity, to the marketing-manufacturing interface and examine how it is impacted by the relational exchange orientation, concluding more research need to be conducted.

There have been few studies on the influence of technology-based competition on industry structure. However, the influence of strategic information technology initiatives on current bases of competition can now be studied with the development of analytical frames that capture certain aspects of industry behavior.
