There is a growing concern for the U.S. economy, as observed from the comments of Federal Reserve Board officials, that seem to indicate that they are ready to set new policies due to to the ongoing crisis. The housing, industrial and manufacturing sectors are not experiencing exceptional growth. An evaluation and forecasts for the stock markets are supplied.

The Dow Jones averages, the Value Line geometric averages and the weekly Value line gemotric averages from October 2, 2006 to December 5, 2007 are presented. The Value Line estimated P/E ratio and appreciation potential are also compared with Dow Jones industrials.
