Article Abstract:

The crisis the Australian economy is facing because of high oil prices, moderating housing market and sluggish world economy is creating a negative influence over the retail sector. In spite of this economic crisis, the retail sector has greater chances of performing well because of low interest rates, supportive government policy and structural changes associated with shifts in consumer patterns.
