Educational services

Article Abstract:

Demographics, wage differentials for educated people, and the continued shift towards a knowledge base in the US economy are the fundamental factors which have led educational services industry stocks to be timely in 1999. Growth in the US economy will be driven by information technology and many of the companies in the educational services industry offer training in this area. Earnings growth for these stocks is projected to be from 20% to 30% through the years 2001-2003.

Educational services

Article Abstract:

Stocks in the educational services industry, which provides post-secondary education programs, are timely, although this is a new, but fast-growing, economic segment. New federal government programs, information technology, demographics, and the shift towards a knowledge-based US economy give this industry good prospects for the future. These stocks should outperform the market with annual earnings growth estimates of 20%-30% through 2001-2003.

Educational services

Article Abstract:

The return of many working adults to school, the rising age of university students, and other demographic factors have had a positive impact on the good growth prospects of the post-secondary education market. The need for further education has made the industry recession-resistant and distance education has become popular, as well. The earnings growth for these stocks is expected to be 20% to 30% annually through the years 2001 to 2003.
