Emerging companies: united they stand

Article Abstract:

The importance of collective bargaining in small companies is discussed. Mike Potter, chief executive of the Council of Small Business Organisations of Australia believes that collective bargaining will allow people to actually make enough money to survive. Small companies should understand the business principles of the powerful companies they are negotiating with and offer security, quality, convenience or some additional benefit in return for better prices or conditions.

Chris Forbes is the director and a part-owner of Insight Marketing Systems, a small, specialised market research software development business, which makes a product for companies that spend at least 5 million dollars a year on market research. Although Insight is tiny, Forbes learnt quickly that it would be better off if he made buying his product easier for his customer.
