Article Abstract:

The environmental industry is gaining on account of decrease in costs of waste-collection. If the present trends of increase in pick-up of industrial waste are any indication, an increase in construction-related debris collection can be reasonably anticipated. A few potential good stocks are highlighted and statistical data of some of the companies and their rankings as of September 10, 2004 is furnished.

The takeover bid of Ionics has brought in investor speculation in the other stocks of the industry as well. The industry in general is showing an upward trend.
