The attack of the robots

Article Abstract:

Shopping robots, known as bots, are making comparison shopping on the World Wide Web a snap. These bots are capable of analyzing the content of hundreds of Internet sites and locating the best price on a certain item. On-line retails are wary of these tools. They are concerned that the robots will prompt a price war in cyberspace, and as a result, profit margins will be cut back to razor-thin levels. The Internet has changed the way people shop, and it has empowered consumers with information. Consumers are using the Internet to research products of all types, even ones that they have no intention of buying On-line.
