Factors affecting supplier quality performance

Article Abstract:

The aerospace industry was chosen to examine the link between process management and quality performance and the potential effects of structural differences among supplier firms on the quality of manufactured output. A reliable and valid measuring instrument of quality management and a valid measure of quality performance were required to empirically examine the study. Results revealed the need for investing in employees and innovations to generate long-term productivity and maintain market share.

Causation or covariation: an empirical re--examination of the link between TQM and financial performance

Article Abstract:

Total Quality Management (TQM), as an integrated management system, improves the efficiency of an organization's products and services from the customer perspective. The results of the study on the correlation between TQM and financial performance, utilizing an example of Baldrige Award recipients and state quality award recipients, are presented.

Quality management and organizational context in selected service industries of China

Article Abstract:

The contingency theory in quality management is examined. The comparative results of the patterns of quality management systems in selected service industries in China and in the manufacturing industry are presented.
