Article Abstract:

Statistics of some of the companies in the Financial services (diversified) industry and their securities rankings as of August 26, 2005 are furnished. The industry is comprised of insurance companies, credit businesses and insurance and credit related businesses and finance operations. The rising interest rates, accounting probes, regulatory changes etc. will adversely affect the sector's performance. Despite such drawbacks, industry is likely to report reasonably good earnings.
