Article Abstract:

The major issue facing the Australian community and the business community in Australia in 2004 is to realize that economic and social success depended on its capacity to improve child development. This has been an urgent issue for 2004 because of the phenomenon called modernity's paradox that is the emergence of two sets of problems that are not lessened by new opportunity and prosperity.

Article Abstract:

The policies that John Howard is likely to follow in his fourth term at the Prime MinisterEs office are speculated upon. In the past, Howard has swung from being a realistic reformer to a populist politician. It remains to be seen whether Howard would sacrifice his popularity in the interest of Australia by implementing the pragmatic economic reforms.

Article Abstract:

The importance of cultural sensitivity in dealing with foreign markets is analyzed. Knowledge of foreign cultures can be gained either by hiring local agents or by training the local nationals to take up assignments. A few methods for handling foreign cultures are suggested.
