More than 20 companies are issuing new securities, taking advantage of a demand for new stock and a bull market. Rumor is that Austar, a regional pay-television operator, plans to float $500 million worth of stock. Other companies planning new issues include Entertainment City, Warburg Dillon Read, and ABN Amro.
