Article Abstract:

Stocks of companies in the furniture and home furnishings industries are expected to decline further in 1995, after dropping about 35% in late 1994. However, makers of office furniture report growth in the market for home office equipment. Also, sales of furniture components such as hardware remain high. In spite of low share prices, the furniture industry may not be an attractive investment at this time.
