A Melbourne financial planning company has gone broke after it appointed a bankrupt accountant, Maurice Roussety, as its chief executive. Preliminary investigations suggested that the company's financial planning service simply did not get off ground before shareholders' investment capital ran out.

Australasian Reporting Awards (ARA) organization is planning to add cash flow analysis to its criteria for companies that hope to gain awards. Mixed reactions were observed in the industry to the inclusion of cash flow analysis in their annual reports.
