Getting on the band wagon

Article Abstract:

In the recent years music has under gone many changes in the way it is distributed and sold. The digital music era helped Australian bands to showcase their talent both at home and overseas. Many Australian bands want to make a name in the world's biggest music market, the United States. Austrade, Australia's export agency introduced several modern ideas to help Australian talent cope with the intense pressure when an event is organized. Austrade also plans to organize airplay for the bands on satellite radio and internet websites.

Goodman warms to chilled meals

Goodman Fielder has begun selling fresh chilled meals through supermarket outlets in Sydney and Canberra, despite failed distribution of similar products by other companies in the recent past. Top Nosh features 19 meal varieties, uses no preservatives, and sells at Coles, Woolworths and Franklins. Goodman executives cite the high quality of the food and brand visibility as strong factors in Top Nosh's success.

Fast-food guerrillas

New comers in the field of Australia's fast food industry such as Subway is giving a tough competition to long-established brands like McDonalds, KFC and Pizza Hut. The case of this new rapidly spreading band of lower cost, health conscious fast food franchises is studied.
