Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the American Military-Research, has requested research to be done on 'insect cyborgs' that would serve on the front lines. These undercover bugs equipped with remote controls and high-tech gear can be flown inconspicuously into nearly any hostile environment to eavesdrop and sniff out explosives or chemical agents.
