GDP in the UK increased 0.2% in 1st qtr 1993, an increase of 0.6% over 1st qtr 1992. Exports contributed to the revival of the economy. Statistics on unemployment, retail sales, manufacturing output and housing prices are presented.

The unemployment rate in the UK was 9.7% in Jul 1992. GDP declined 0.1% in 2nd qtr 1992, a 0.7% decrease from the same period in 1991. The inflation rate fell to 3.7% during the 12 months ending Jul 31, 1992.
