Great reporting, a star lineup, and competitive prowess: ABC and Best Software team up

Article Abstract:

The entertainment conglomerate American Broadcasting Cos (ABC) relies on the fixed-asset management software called FAS for Windows for its accounting information processing activities. Developed by Best Software, the product enables ABC accountants to monitor and manage the company's array of assets scattered in 182 operating units around the world. The software generates different reports and can perform various tasks, including tax assessments, depreciation scheduling and processing of transfer asset data. As a result of FAS for Windows, computation of depreciation costs is precise, tax reporting is much easier, audits are simplified, the actual location of all assets for a particular timeframe is recorded, and security is more reliable. Moreover, assets that are prone to breakdowns, not performing or surplus are identified. Proper documentation of insurance losses is also ensured.
