Marquis Jet, a company that sells pricey flight time on luxurious private planes pioneered the jet card to offer an even lower entry point to private aviation by buying fractional shares on NetJets. NetJets, the private-aviation giant owned by Warren Buffett, pioneered fractional jet ownership as a less-expensive alternative to buying a multimillion-dollar plane.
